Balch Family Coat of Arms

The first Balch appeared in what is now the United States in 1623 as indentured servents who worked their way to freedom. Like many, if not most, United States Balches, I trace my ancestry to John Balch. John Balch's home still stands in Beverly Ma. -- the house is the oldest still-standing house built by European settlers in the United States and is now a museum.
